Enjoyed the day at home
with the furbabies,
fresh blooms in the house,
new books to read,
Amaretti cookies (one of my favs),
ginger root tea,
and a new afghan blanket.
It was a great afternoon.

How did you spent your Sunday?

Beautiful Gift

Big surprise!
I received these beautiful gloves in the mail from my friend Anna.
She lives in Finland.
Anna, her mom, and her grandmother are so talented.
These ladies really know how to knit.
I own socks, knee-highs, and a scarf and now these beautiful gloves.
Check out Anna's blog here.
And if you should ever be interested in owning something beautiful and handmade from these ladies,
just contact Anna.
Thank you Anna and wishing you a great 2013.

May it be filled with kindness, love, and joy and
may all your dreams come true.

New Year’s Reflections
Looking back on the months gone by,
As a new year starts and an old one ends,
We contemplate what brought us joy,
And we think of our loved ones and our friends.
Recalling all the happy times,
Remembering how they enriched our lives,
We reflect upon who really counts,
As the fresh and bright new year arrives.
And when I ponder those who do,
I immediately think of you.
Thanks for being one of the reasons I'll have a Happy New Year!

Brrrr, it's cold and snowy outside.
Warming up with a cup of ginger root tea.
Hoping Spring will come early this year:)

Books I am reading right now:
"The beautiful things that heaven bears" and "How to read the air" by Dinaw Mengestu
and
"A hundred flowers" by Gail Tsukiyama.
You'll never find me without a book.
